The members of the Executive Committee of AANSU met on August 8, 2007 at 6:30 pm at conference room of BAT, Mohakhali to finalize the plans for the year 2007. The following plans are approved: 1. A seminar in NSU, preferably inviting the British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, 2. A complete database of NSU Alumni, gradually leading to publication of a directory, 3. AANSU annual event to be held by the end of the year. Separate sub-committees were formed and delegated with authority to carry out the tasks.

Blood donation by AANSU members has become a regular practice by AANSU members over the last 2 years. On numerouse occassions, whenever a news that blood is needed by a patient communicated to AANSU group of over 800 members, many members came forward and donated blood.

Alumni Association of NSU sponsored a conference on Supply Chain Management titled "Supply Chain Management, context: Global & Local". The key objective of the conference was to discuss the global and local aspects of Supply Chain Process and implementation of Supply Chain Concept in the universities of Bangladesh.

The key note speaker was Dr. Hafiz G.A. Siddiqi, Vice Chancellor, North South University.
The special guest speakers were: Md Arif Al Islam, Finance Director - Grameen Phone., Imran Momin, Supply Chain Director - Unilever Bangladesh Ltd., Naquib Khan, Supply Chain Director - Nestle Bangladesh Ltd.

AANSU offered special ticket prices for NSU Alumni and students.

Members of AANSU came forward and contributed a significant amount to the the GMQ Sir's Aid fund.

Members of Executive Committee of AANSU met Mr Ragib Ali, the newly elected Chairman of NSU Foundation on July 30, 2006. For AANSU, M Nayeem Hossain, President, Saadat Momen Vice President, Tashfin Delwar, General Secretary, Ahmed Ashfaqur Rahman, Asst. General Secretary were present. The chairman assured the AANSU members to continue NSU's support and cooperation in coming days. The Vice Chairman of NSU, Mr Benazir was also present in the meeting.

AANSU had the the biggest alumni party in the history of North South University on 31st March, 2006. AANSU tried to put its best efforts to make the show nothing but the best, AANSU worked with the best professionals for arranging it and collaborative efforts of its executive team made the event a grand success .

More than 800 people enjoyed a night with performances from international artist, local artist, fashion show, dinner, DJ and more on Friday, March 31, 2006 at Sheraton Winter Garden.

The new official website of AANSU is www.aansu.org. It has been changed from www.nsualumni.net to www.aansu.org with many added features.

AANSU arranged an iftar party for the members of its association. The iftar party was held at Atrium on November 1, 2005. Dr. Hafiz G. A. Siddiqi, Vice Chancellor, North South University, attended the iftar along with members of AANSU. He conveyed his Eid greetings to all the members of Alumni Association of NSU. He praised the Alumni Association's initiatives and efforts during the short span of time since AANSU is active. He also thanked the Alumni Association for a delightful iftar event.
